12月2日から４日間に渡り開催された日本セルビア映画祭、短編コンペティション部門で”カワウソ”が「最優秀日本短編映画賞」を受賞しました。思わぬ受賞でしたが、審査員の方々からは素晴らしい評価をいただき、感謝しています。ありがとうございました。審査員からいただいた声明を載せておきます。
The film that won us over with its striking graphic visuality, subtle but daring narrative. The steady repetitive rhythm like in a marching music, follows two characters who try to establish communication, the repetian unlike the song it doesn't get its catharsis in sound amplification and accentuation, but in the picture, and it becomes almost anticlimactic, as a warning that the worst disasters do not happen directly, but quietly from the sidelines while we we live our lives routinely.
Award for best Japanese Short Movie goes to Kawuso by Akihito Izuhara.
